D. und Gr\u00fcnder des Internationalen Instituts f\u00fcr den Frieden, Wien<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Dr. Maximilian Lakitsch<\/strong><\/span>, \u00d6sterreichisches Studienzentrum f\u00fcr Frieden und Konfliktl\u00f6sung, Schlaining<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcnf der weltweit h\u00f6chst ger\u00fcsteten Staaten liegen im Mittleren Osten. Eines der zentralen Probleme dieses Gebietes ist der <strong>faktische Kernwaffenbesitz Israels<\/strong> und die umstrittene Frage\u00a0nach der <strong>Atomr\u00fcstung des Iran<\/strong>. 1974 hat der Iran den Vorschlag einer atomwaffenfreien Zone im Nahen und Mittleren Osten in die UNO eingebracht. \u00c4gypten hat diese Forderung auf eine Beseitigung aller atomarer, biologischer und chemischer Massenvernichtungswaffen ausgedehnt.<\/p>\n<p>Wir wollen den <strong>Stand der Umsetzung dieses Vorhaben reflektieren<\/strong> und <strong>M\u00f6glichkeiten von \u00f6sterreichischer Au\u00dfenpolitik und Friedensbewegung diskutieren,<\/strong> um die Umsetzung dieser Forderung voranzubringen. Jede atomare Konfrontation kostet unz\u00e4hlige Menschenleben und bringt unvorhersehbare Gefahren f\u00fcr das \u00d6kosystem weltweit mit sich.<\/p>\n<address>Moderation: Mag<sup>a<\/sup>.
